Start with the exact ChatGPT product
ChatGPT can expose more than one in-app purchase or subscription label. Select the exact product tab before ranking countries. A monthly Plus plan, another usage tier and a web subscription are not interchangeable.
Product names and availability can change, so use the current App Store data rather than a static screenshot copied from an older guide.
Read the local price before the conversion
The App Store storefront amount and currency are the source data. A converted CNY, USD or EUR value is useful for sorting but remains an estimate based on a reference exchange rate. Card conversion, tax and timing can change the final cost.
- Check ISO currency codes when symbols are ambiguous.
- Compare the same billing period.
- Confirm whether the displayed storefront price includes local tax.
- Refresh the product page before making a purchase decision.
Separate App Store pricing from web pricing
An iOS in-app purchase is billed by Apple, while a subscription purchased on the ChatGPT website follows OpenAI's web billing. Prices, taxes, renewal management and available offers can differ between those channels.
When comparing a country table, treat it as an App Store comparison unless the page clearly labels a web price.
Use country rankings as research, not eligibility advice
The lowest converted country is useful for understanding regional pricing, but it does not prove that every user can buy there. Apple Account country, accepted payment methods, billing information and product availability still apply.
Price Atlas keeps regional prices dynamic so the article can explain the method while the ChatGPT detail page carries the current numbers.
