Check the region before buying a card
Apple gift cards and App Store credit are generally tied to the country or region where they are issued. Confirm the Apple Account country or region and the card's stated region before purchasing. The same currency symbol does not prove compatibility.
Also confirm that the exact app and subscription plan are available in that storefront. A gift card cannot make an unavailable product appear.
Choose a value using the current storefront price
Open the app's current regional price page and identify the exact monthly, yearly or credit-pack SKU. Leave room for possible tax, price changes or a future renewal. A converted RMB or USD value is only an estimate; the local App Store amount is the value that matters at checkout.
Redeem the card to the intended Apple Account
On iPhone or iPad, open the App Store, tap the profile image and choose the option to redeem a gift card or code. Follow Apple's instructions to scan or enter the code, then confirm that the balance appears on the correct Apple Account before starting the subscription.
- Redeem only through Apple interfaces.
- Never send the full code to a seller or support impersonator.
- Confirm the account and storefront before redemption because codes may not be transferable.
Plan for recurring renewal
Apple Account balance can be used for eligible App Store purchases and subscriptions, but Apple may require another payment method for some purchases or account situations. Keep enough balance before the renewal date and check the subscription screen for the next amount.
If the balance is insufficient, the renewal can fail or Apple may try another payment method associated with the account according to its billing rules.
