Gift cards are issued for a specific storefront
Apple gift cards and App Store credit are normally associated with a country or region. A card purchased for one storefront may not redeem on an Apple Account set to another storefront, even if both regions use the same currency.
Check the country or region printed by the seller and the redemption terms, not only the currency symbol or card artwork.
Match three pieces of information
Before purchasing a card, verify the Apple Account country or region, the gift card's issuing region and the storefront where the subscription is sold. A mismatch between any of these can cause redemption or purchase errors.
- Apple Account country or region.
- Gift card issuing country or region.
- App Store region that offers the subscription.
Price comparison should come first
Confirm the exact subscription price and availability before selecting a card value. Leave room for possible taxes or price changes, and avoid relying on an old screenshot or an exchange-rate estimate as the final checkout amount.
